Fall Colors in Virginia - Skyline Drive

Yesterday, Monday Oct. 13, 2008 Tom the girls and I took a drive on Shenandoah National Park's scenic roadway, Skyline Drive. This drive follows the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains for 105 miles. We only went about 20 miles stopping at the overlooks to see the Shenandoah Valley below and to see the beautiful fall colors and enjoy the panoramic view. It was fun spending time with the twins and relaxing for the day. It was a school holiday. The countryside was beautiful but it is still quite green. It would be nice to go back in a week or two and see more leaves on the ground and more color. Maybe we will go again?
